Ever see an advertisement or description of a tobacco that indicates it smokes HOT? I don't think so. No reputable blender (like Mac Barens) would continue to market such a blend simply because pipe smokers would turn their back on it. Yet I constantly read reviews that complain about HOT and BITE and we all know any blend can be overheated to the point of BITE.
Who are these people? How may ways can we say "slow and easy"? Sure, different blends can be very picky about how their packed and perhaps care a little about the pipe its self but if your Mac Barens is burning your tongue you are doing something WRONG. Figure out what it is and stop doing it!
