What is it that makes Mixture the most popular pipe tobacco in the world? We believe it's the unique blend of the 35 different tobaccos that go into Mixture. A blend so singular, that none of our competitors have yet been able to equal it. The recipe is one of the best-kept secrets in Mac Baren's history, but it's not giving too much away to say that its main components are the Virginia, Cavendish and Burley tobaccos.

The tobaccos in Mixture come from near and far, but when blended according to our recipe, provide the great taste and exquisite pleasure that are the hallmarks of a good bowl of Mixture.

Mixture contains loose-cut and pressed tobacco; a combination that not only makes it easier to pack the bowl, but also ensures that the tobacco burns slowly - so the pleasure lasts longer.

The loose-cut tobacco is Virginia, known for its light, sweet aroma. Virginia is also included in its pressed form along with Burley - but even the best Virginia and most convincing Burley are not enough to perfect Mixture. That's why we have also added our original Mac Baren Cavendish.

Cavendish gives Mixture its final nuance of taste, which together with its precisely balanced "top flavour" completes the smoking experience, making Mixture a blend in class of its own.
